SCM CYFLEX F900 vertical CNC (2008), drilling and sawing

Price on request

The 2008 Italian-made SCM CYFLEX F900 is a vertical CNC machine for drilling and grooving panels. It suits workshops making kitchens, wardrobes, bookcases and furniture from melamine-faced boards, MDF and other suitable panels. It is offered through WoodMachine on behalf of a customer; a demonstration can be arranged by appointment. It has three main working units: a vertical multi-spindle boring head for panel faces, a horizontal boring head for edges, and an integrated grooving saw blade. The workpiece stands upright and is held by grippers. The CNC program sets the hole positions so the same pattern can be repeated without marking every part by hand. The face boring head can drill shelf-pin rows and holes for furniture connectors. The horizontal head drills panel edges for dowels and joints. Available diameters and depths depend on the installed tools and the head settings. A Ø35 mm hinge hole or a special connector must be checked against this machine's tools and configuration. The built-in blade makes straight grooves, such as a back-panel groove. The manual specifies a blade up to Ø120 mm with a 20 mm bore, up to 6 mm thick and 6,000 rpm. The pneumatic unit travel is 60 mm; that is not a stated cutting depth. Actual groove capacity depends on the fitted blade and the material. For example, a kitchen-cabinet side can receive shelf and connector holes, edge holes and a back-panel groove according to the drawing and installed tools. A stored program can then repeat those operations on matching parts. The machine uses a Windows XP computer with an SCM control interface. Its manual mentions Xilog Plus / Panel Mac, .pgm programs and .mix lists. The factory operating manual and electrical drawings are available. The precise set of supplied drills, blades and accessories must be confirmed before sale. This version has no routing spindle. It is a CNC machine for drilling and straight grooves, not nesting, freeform cutting or 3D relief work. The grooving blade does not replace a panel cutting machine. The owner describes the condition as very good. Data from the machine plate and manual should be distinguished from general specifications for the model series.
